On this, the day of your baptism

This is the day the Lord has made

We remember our sins on Him were laid

As you take this step in order to obey

We thank God for your life He choose to save

Baptism declares to everyone your decision to follow

We know for sure that He holds tomorrow

As you go in the water and rise

May you go forward with Him for the prize

We stand and witness both near and far

Many a tear will be shed for you our little star

You continue to touch many a heart

As you shine at the outset of this new start

We pray that God will continue to use you

For sure you will impact many only God knows who

There are no limits or barriers with Jesus

From this day on may He use you as He pleases

Today you are buried with Christ through baptism into death

He alone holds our every breathe

Just as Christ was raised from the dead may you too live a new life

In the midst of a world full of trouble and strife

As you believe and are baptised you will be saved

At the foot of the Cross your sins are laid

We look to that day when at last our faith will become sight

And Jesus will make all things right.
